Infrastructure Engineer, Monitoring

Glasspoint Networks

RemoteStockholm, SwedenPart-timeMid-level€30k–€38k / yr

About the role

Glasspoint Networks operates a growing network estate, and this part-time role sits with the team that maintains its network management platform. The focus is observability: the dashboards, alerting rules and automated checks that show what the network is doing and catch problems before they reach an on-call engineer.

You will build and maintain Grafana dashboards across network segments that currently have none, write Python checks for conditions the existing alerting misses, and tune alert rules so they fire on what actually matters. You will occasionally join a live incident to help the on-call engineer interpret what the dashboards are showing. The first quarter is already scoped: dashboards for two unmonitored segments, then automated checks for the alert classes that keep arriving as pages rather than warnings.

Required: production experience with Prometheus and Grafana, and enough networking background to build dashboards that reflect what matters during an incident rather than what is easy to graph. You should be comfortable writing and maintaining small Python scripts, since that is how the checks are built. Roughly three to five years of hands-on monitoring work is what this seat calls for. Prior on-call experience is useful but not required.

Fifteen hours a week, scheduled flexibly around the team's core hours rather than fixed to set days. Fully remote across Europe, with the platform team anchored in Stockholm. The role reports to the staff engineer on the network management platform, who reviews dashboard designs before they go live and otherwise leaves day-to-day prioritisation to whoever holds the seat.
