Tech Lead, Onboarding and Growth Engineering

Signup, identity verification and the upgrade prompts that convert free accounts into paying business customers all run through experiments this role guides as tech lead for onboarding and growth engineering, directing three engineers across that surface. Identity verification sits in a gray area between growth and compliance that this lead is expected to watch closely.

Day to day the role mixes hands-on coding in the shared TypeScript codebase with quarterly technical planning, plus occasional pushback on experiment ideas that would add too much regulatory complexity for the expected upside on a financial product. Performance reviews for the engineers on this team weigh experiment quality rather than shipped volume, specifically to avoid rewarding a flood of low-value tests.

Required: solid full-stack experience across TypeScript, React, Node.js and PostgreSQL, plus some prior experience leading a small team and comfort working alongside compliance requirements a typical growth team would not usually encounter. This is a lead role scoped by team size and the regulatory exposure of the surface, rather than a fixed years figure. Deep compliance expertise itself is not required; the compliance team owns final sign-off.

Hybrid, working from the Dublin office several days a week, with two of the three engineers on the team remote across European time zones and expected to stay genuinely included in planning rather than sidelined. Full-time, reporting to the VP of Product Engineering, with quarterly OKRs jointly owned by product and engineering and reviewed together each quarter.
