TidalFrame's platform is expanding into AI-assisted features fast enough that technology strategy and responsible AI practice can no longer be treated as separate conversations, and a feature that launched last quarter without a documented fairness review, caught only after the fact, is exactly the kind of gap this executive role exists to close.

Multi-year technology strategy comes first: deciding where to invest in new architecture versus consolidate what exists, with credibility across the organization so the strategy survives quarterly board pressure. AI governance is a defined mandate rather than an afterthought: establishing how AI-assisted features get evaluated for risk and fairness before launch, with real authority to delay a launch when it matters. Security sits alongside AI governance as a first-class responsibility, and you build the executive leadership team beneath you.

Required: a genuine track record setting technology strategy at scale, including direct experience standing up an AI governance practice and making security tradeoffs at the architecture level rather than delegating them entirely. Executive-level scope is the bar here rather than a specific year count: you should have run a technology organization through a period of real strategic change before. Deep personal expertise in every domain the org covers is not required, since the executive leadership team you build carries that depth collectively.

The role is flexible, based from London with global reach across the organization, and travel to meet regional teams and the board happens on an as-needed basis rather than a fixed schedule. The CTO reports to the CEO and sits on the executive leadership team. No fixed office attendance is expected.
