Privacy Engineering Manager

ParcelSignal Security

HybridStockholm, SwedenFull-timeManager€108k–€133k / yr

About the role

Personal data collection went unchecked in a data model ParcelSignal shipped two releases ago, and catching that kind of gap earlier, well before an audit ever surfaces it, is now the entire mandate behind this manager role and the small team built around it.

You lead privacy-by-design reviews on new features, working with product and engineering leads early enough to change a data model before it ships rather than patch it after. Data governance is the other half of the job: maintaining a clear inventory of what personal data the platform collects, why, and how long it is retained. You also run structured risk assessments on new integrations and vendors, and as a people manager you grow one or two privacy engineers on your team.

Required: hands-on privacy engineering experience, comfort using formal risk assessment frameworks, and prior experience leading a small team rather than only individual contributor work. This seat calls for around six to nine years of overall experience, including some time spent managing others directly. A legal background is not required — the legal team handles interpretation; this role handles engineering follow-through.

Three days a week bring in-person reviews at the Stockholm office; the rest of the week is yours to arrange. You report to the VP of security and privacy, and manage one to two privacy engineers directly. The team's current stretch goal is catching every privacy gap during design review, well before a last-minute escalation lands on someone's desk.
