Jobbbler Demo Systems maintains a demo job catalog built to showcase the product's own workflow screens, and this senior engineering seat sits with the team that owns the search and matching views, where candidates and hiring managers spend most of their time in the product.

You take ownership of that surface end to end: a TypeScript and React frontend backed by a Node.js and PostgreSQL API, with the latitude to rewrite a slow query path rather than patch around it. A recent change pushed the two-hundred-result search render from twelve seconds to under one by moving filtering into the database, and the next piece applies that fix to the salary-range and location filters. Expect to design accessible list and detail views too, plus instrumentation that flags a slowdown early.

Required: production experience with TypeScript and React on the frontend, and with Node.js and PostgreSQL on the backend, including comfort writing and tuning non-trivial SQL queries rather than only calling an ORM. The seat is set at five to eight years of professional engineering experience. Prior exposure to accessibility auditing is useful but not required — a design partner covers that when it comes up, and the team will bring you up to speed.

The team works fully remote across the UK and Germany and ships small pull requests rather than long-lived branches, pairing on anything that touches the search index. You would report to the engineering lead for search and matching, who reviews architecture calls but leaves day-to-day implementation to you. The location-filter rewrite and keyboard navigation across the results grid are already scoped for the first quarter.
